PhotoBoard 0.4.0 is out
Major changes : loads pictures from the classic photo library, better multi-touch movement algorithm.
See the previous post below for details / video.
Todo in the next version :
- Keep the full resolution of camera roll's pictures
That will also be a way to add high resolution pictures to Photoboard since the photo library ones are resized by iTunes - Save the Photoboard screenshot
Allow user to send it by mail, to the camera roll, etc. - Enable fullscreen option for picture
- Enable image deletion
- ...
Libellés : développement, iphone, multitouch

Did anyone else is having a pixelated image as a result of the zooming?

Incredible software indeed... one last thing to ask would be the ability for a photo once loaded on screen to be able to drag it and "push it"... to one corner given the speed at which your finger push it away... something like the speed you see when you scroll the address book and the addresses keep scrolling for a bit until they come to an stop...
The image could be pushed away quickly with one finger and would continue the direction and momentum to the direction the finger pushed it.

Is the source code available?
I'd be interested in seeing how you accessed the photoLibrary and displayed the thumbnail gallery.

Hey, this is a great app and thank you for sharing it with us.
other suggestions...
1. make separate piles by selecting a group of pictures (look at bumptop on youtube to get an idea)
2. make a photo flipper or slide show creator by selecting a group of pictures.
3. add effects to selected picture like twisting and stretching.
4. create albums from separate piles.
6. maybe even extend this board for the whole file system and not just for photos.

is it possible to still access the photo roll on an ipod touch?
it used to access the DCIM-100 thing but now it is only the photo library. this is welcome but i was looking forward to using photoboard in conjunction with photos saved to the roll...

Great app, but woudn't it be nice to have a "save" function ?
By Anonyme, at 2:54 PM
Parfait, à part le fait que l'on ne peut pas enregistrer les planches...

IPOD TOUCH FEATURE REMOVED FROM PHOTOBOARD?
Has the option to view photos in /var/root/Media/DCIM/100APPLE/ been removed from PhotoBoard v0.4.0?
Your program works very well, but I only see the normal iPod Touch "Photo Albums" when I select "Roll" on the PhotoBoard interface wheel.
I use many other apps that generate photos and easily move them around on the iPod touch using Finder.
I'm very mobile, and I don't connect to the computer frequently. Do I have to go home, connect to my computer, and use iTunes to use your program?

Hello,

Thanks for the great app!
Since MobileScrobbler got it's own settings pane lately and the quality of iPhone apps is continuously improving, do you think it would be possible to make photboard an extension or even a replacement for the default gallery?

Mon iTouch est en 1.1.3 maintenant, et ça fonctionne toujours nikel :)
Bonne continuation. A+

Hey there,
first of all: Wow, im really impressed! But i have a few suggestions for your upcoming versions, altough i dont know if they are possible.
1. Have you seen Microsofts Surface? You can rotate the whole board, not just the picture itself. You can even scale the board which would be a cool option for the small iphone display. With this method you could work in layers (3d.. like the photo and ball application Jeff Han used at the TED conference.)
In fact you can zoom in with 2 fingers, create a picture, zoom out and create another picture. The picture created while zoomed out is now way larger than the one created when zoomed in. If i zoom in now, the 2nd (larger one) picture floates away and the first picture (smaller ones) gets bigger. Its like working with layers in 3d.
If you dont get what i mean just watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwGAKUForhM and look for the demo with the small balls he creates.
2.Is it possible to move 2 different pictures around at the same time? Until now i only can interact with one pic at a time.
thanks for you great work!!
